Jenni & Joe are a super special couple to me. To start with, they’re simply wonderful people. I know you may think I’m just saying that because they’re my clients and they’ll probably see this post, but I’m not. I’m pretty sure you’ll agree with me after watching their wedding highlight film below. Another reason they’re so special to me is because they’re my first clients as a wedding videographer.

If you’ve known me or followed my work for any time, you know I’ve strictly been a wedding photographer until now. I do some non-wedding portrait and commercial work once in a while, but it’s always been within the discipline of photography.

Then, early this year I decided to jump head-first into wedding videography. I did so because I wanted to shoot wedding films a bit differently than most of the videographers I’ve seen. I wanted to focus more on documentary journalism. I didn’t want to stage actions or direct my couples in order to create shots that worked together to tell a scripted story. The films I wanted to create were raw, real moments – snippets of real emotions and parts of the day.

So here it is: my first wedding highlight film! Hope you guys enjoy watching it 🙂

Venue: The Rockleigh  |  Flowers: Floral Designs by Sofie

DJ: DJ EPX  |  Dress: Vera Wang  |  Photobooth: Amazebooths

Makeup: Vicky C5  |  Cake: A Little Cake

"We were so fortunate to have Hanel as our videographer. He was so helpful throughout the wedding day and managed to capture all the emotional moments and curate them into the most perfect video. I love how it came out and my family did as well. I highly highly highly recommend having Hanel as your wedding videographer!!!"
